That is not valid logic. People own whatever scripts they write, and unless they state a license, you cannot assume one. That is like saying that because GCC/G++ is GPL'd that everything compiled with it is GPL'd.

Yeah, I should clarify my response. The author of the script owns copyright and may decide if other people may use it or not. If you don't want people to use your code, please make sure you write it in your script. Multi-line comments are written with --[[ and ]].
Code:
--[[
   Mod by Jens Bergensten. Please ask for permission before copying all or parts of the script!
]]

place this as the first line of any script that you dont want copied, it is no use if someone needs to search the entire mod

Sorry if I missed it... is there a canonical reference for the scripting language? Where is it?

Thank you

all you need to know to make pretty decent mods is in the functions,hooks and particles forums, things like loops and if statements can be found in existing mods
http://www.lua.org/ this is the official lue website, there should be some documentation there

I've registered an account and found my answer. I guess I'll just buy the game and start working on some mods. I mess around with this game enough to warrant spending a few bucks on it.

try making a copy of an already existing mod, rename it, and replace the code in it instead.
