Cobalt has been nominated as an Independent Games Festival 2011 finalist in the Excellence in Audio category! So incredibly well-deserved nomination (in my not so humble opinion), thanks to the great work by anosou (music tunes and jingles) and thewreck (sound effect engineering). With help of friends, of course The jury’s motivation:
The soundscape in Oxeye’s Cobalt was also praised for “giving it the amount of life it has”, with “immersive sound effect work that absolutely sells the atmosphere,” and a soundtrack that “stays away from melodic motifs to let the overall ambience take center stage.”
Cobalt also received honorable mentions in Excellence in Technology and Excellence in Visual Art!

It’s 2PM and Jeb and Thewreck are still sleeping, reason?
Yesterday we attended the Swedish Game Awards Grand Finale at Kulturhuset in Stockholm, representing Harvest. By representing I don’t mean just exhibiting the game, I mean social representation too (AKA drinking beer with fellow Indie-spirits discussing Indie-glory).
Great success! If anyone of you ever stop by Skåne, give us a call!
I must say, after having been a bit disappointed by some of the downloadable games at the SGA web site I was pleasantly surprised by this year’s line-up, especially by Blueberry Garden and Swarm!

Harvest: Massive Encounter has been announced the game of the week at the German gaming site Games4Mac! We got 5 out of 5 hearts! Woho!
The community discussion at their site is over 300 posts long. We’re not so skilled at German, but if you are, you can take a look. If you know of other interesting Harvest discussions that we’ve overlooked, give us a note in the comments!
